Max Kling - Street Photography

It’s all about scenes and moments that one could see everyday, yet rarely does. It’s all about taking the ordinary and reducing it to it’s essence: light and shadow, contrasts and structures, people and the traces they leave.

Street Photography is a bit like...

My way of Street Photography is like fly fishing in a creek or like strolling over a flea market early in the morning. You have no idea what to expect, no clue if anything is going to happen. The only thing you need is trust and confidence to your experience, your instincts and your intuition.

And then, out of nowhere, it’s there, it happens.
Then it’s time. Time to be fast, focussed and brave.
If you miss these couple of seconds, it’s gone.
No fish, no found, no picture.

Pictures simply come into being – situationally, spontaneously and right at the heart of life. At anytime, in any weather, at night and day. Always. Motifs and situations present themselves, when I allow myself to be subsumed by their surroundings, and are usually encountered when they are least expected. Fleeting finds from every day life.
